There are five different oils in Peace and Calming Blend.

How to use it?

Use NEAT (undiluted) then,

High Hurdles Horsemanship Program 3rd Annual Horse Show

We are proud to announce the 3rd Annual Student Horse Show Event

March 29, 2014

Classes begin at 9 am

We will have classes in both english and western disciplines and each student can choose to participate in up to 6 events.

We will have a concession stand on site for lunch.

We are seeking sponsors and donations for the event.

Sponsorships will help with the cost of t-shirts, concessions and ribbons.

Brain Fuel

Do you ever wake up in the morning and have to drag yourself out of bed wondering how am I going to find time for a healthy breakfast?

I am SURE that I am NOT alone in this scenario!

Today was one of those days when I was in a super hurry to get to school for an exam, yet I needed some brain fuel.

There is nothing worse than getting to school for an exam and not having any energy to get through the exam, much less get an A on it.

This morning I was in a hurry to get out the door to school, but I NEEDED breakfast!

Taking a quick look in the fridge I saw a bottle of NingXia Red, a box of NingXia Nitro, and a box of coconut milk.

Thats when the magic happened!

I grabbed what I saw and started mixing!

I have had NingXia Red and coconut milk together before, but I have never added a NingXia Nitro to it.

Well, let’s just say this is going to become a regular habit now!

Almost 12 hours later I am still going strong and I got an A on my pharmacology exam this morning! 😉

So, without making you wait ANY longer here is the low down on this amazing concoction.

Brain Fuel Recipe

2 oz NingXia Red

1 tube NingXia Nitro

4 to 6 oz Coconut Milk or other non-dairy milk of your choice

3 or 4 Drops of your favorite Young Living Citrus Essential Oil (ONLY YOUNG LIVING!)

Ice and Water to make 16 oz

Optional add in: 2 scoops of Balance Complete Protein Powder

Mix all ingredients together in a glass container or blender if using protein powder and Enjoy!

Getting To Know My Home!

Recently Kendra Thornton of Thornton PR asked me to collaborate with her on a blog piece about where we live. Of course I jumped at the chance to learn more about Herald, CA and the area around our home, as well as learn more about where Kendra lives. We hope you enjoy and check back for more!

Getting in Touch with the Land

Herald is a small town that many people have not heard of including myself. However, that was until we started looking for a home with land to purchase. Nestled between Galt and Wilton, Herald is located in the southeast portion of Sacramento County and is home to just over 1,100 residents. Growing up in Napa and living most of my adult life in and around Sacramento, it has been refreshing to settle down in such a wonderful area that is still close to many places.

Horseback Riding

Whether you are a seasoned rider or you have never saddled up before, Herald offers a fantastic horseback riding program. High Hurdles Horsemanship Program, INC is located at Kwik Ranch just down the street from us on Borden Road in Herald. Their program offers lessons for youths and adults with special needs, as well as recreational sport riding programs and spring and summer camps. Herald Community Club and Herald Days

The Herald Community Club has helped restore and complete the Herald Barn, host’s an annual Crab Feed for 4H, award Scholarships for the youth of the Herald area and, puts on the festivities of Herald Day every year. The first Saturday in August every year is known as Herald Days. Residents of Herald gather in the Herald park for an all day event that includes a parade around the town, Horseshoe tournament, mud volleyball, and Lots of neighborly fun! The Friday night before Herald Days the Community Club hosts a Kick Off Dinner to get the fun started. Wine Tasting on a Budget

California is known for its rolling hills and exquisite wines. Living in Herald, we are lucky to be a few minutes away from the Central Valley Wine Region. Sip California offers a fantastic wine card for wine tasting couples. For $35.00 you can purchase a Sip California card that is good All Year that is good for over 20 wineries in the Lodi region that includes wines by Robert Mondavi or in the Sacramento Valley/Sierra Foothills region. Use of these cards allows 2 people to taste wine at the participating wineries and some also include discounts on purchases. They also offer a Sip California card for the Sonoma region for $50.00, which is about 2 hours away from Herald. Downtown Sacramento

The City of Sacramento offers a vast array of things to do. Just 30 minutes away from Herald, downtown Sacramento has art, culture, cuisine, history, housing, water recreation, and more! The Crocker Art Museum was established in 1885 and was the first public art museum found in the Western United States. Over the years the Museum has gone through some renovations, however, the original building stands proud on O Street in Downtown Sacramento being the only museum in the Sacramento region accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. https://crockerartmuseum.org Not far from the Crocker Art Museum is Old Sacramento, where you can take a train down the river or catch a ride on a horse drawn carriage around Old Sacramento. http://oldsacramento.com/attractions/rides

Great Times in the Windy City

Chicago is as great a place to visit, as it is to live in. As a proud resident of the Windy City, I’m glad to say that there’s always something here worth seeing and doing. In fact, there are so many possibilities that you might have a hard time choosing what to do in the time allowed by your vacation schedule. Hopefully, I can help you with that by telling you about some of my favorite Chicago hot spots.

Southport Avenue

This thriving area is a great alternative to North Michigan Avenue’s “Magnificent Mile“, and its conveniently located mere blocks from the famous Wrigley Field. The shops on Southport Avenue manage to feel down to Earth while still offering you the trendiest current fashions. The Cerato Boutique is one such place, and even offers fashions made by Chicago designers. With the sheer availability of different shops and boutiques, you won’t feel that your time has been wasted here.

Grant Park

Historic Grant Park is one of the most famous attractions that Chicago has to offer. It’s not just Millennium Park that keeps people coming. It’s also the stunning Buckingham Fountain, Museum Campus and Chicago’s Art Institute. Because of the spectacular design and pleasing scenery, Grant Park is sometimes considered to be Chicago’s front yard.

City Gallery

The Historic Water Tower houses the City Gallery, which displays the works of Chicago artists and photographers. If you’re interested in seeing the Windy City’s artistic side, then the City Gallery is something you can’t miss. With its accessible and easy to find location on Michigan Avenue’s Magnificent Mile, you can even indulge in a little shopping while you’re here. The Historic Water Tower itself is an iconic building, which was originally constructed in 1869. The tower once featured a 135-foot tall pipe that was used to control the water pressure. What’s more astonishing is that it was able to come out of 1871’s Great Chicago Fire unscathed. Each picture being exhibited at the City Gallery is focused on Chicago and admission is free.

Ralph Lauren Restaurant

Now that the chill is developing in the air, it’s the perfect time of year to visit one of my favorite eateries, Chicago’s RL. The Ralph Lauren Restaurant is centrally located in the middle of the downtown area. What makes this better is that the largest Polo outlet in the world, the Chicago Flagship, is located nearby on North Michigan Avenue. Traditional American cuisine, and my absolute favorite dish here is the grilled cheese with tomato soup influence the menu. It really warms me up inside when the temperature drops.

If you’re planning a vacation to Chicago, it’s strongly recommended to think about where you want to want to stay in the city. Regardless of whether you want to be centrally located in Chicago’s downtown area, or if you’d prefer to stay in the hotel that Al Capone supposedly lived in. Chicago certainly has the hotel to fit any kind of traveler.
